YWCA of Calgary

     

YWCA of Calgary is a registered Canadian charity that offer programs and services for women and their families providing them with the skills, abilities and opportunities to contribute to and benefit from healthy communities.

Services:

- YWCA Emergency Shelter
- YWCA Transitional Housing

The YWCA of Calgary works with women, children and men to make positive changes to break the pattern of domestic violence and find recovery and wellness.

The YWCA of Calgary's signature fundraising events are the “RBC Keep a Roof Over Their Heads" and “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”.

Ongoing collaborations include relationships with Calgary Committee to End Homelessness, HomeFront and the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters

The YWCA is a multicultural, multidenominational organization for both our clients and staff.

The YWCA of Calgary and Vermilion Energy Trust have partnered to offer skills training that end up in a career, not simply minimum wage positions.
