We are committed to habitat protection and conservation education, with award-winning educational programs and sustainable land management.The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area (ASCCA) is a 4800 acre day-use natural area south-west of Calgary, Alberta that was donated to the province by A.R ‘Sandy’ Cross and his wife Ann in 1987. The area was established under principles of habitat management and conservation education. In the past year we engaged over 4300 students with meaningful and innovative education programs. We have made it our mission to set an example in conservation, by providing important space for wildlife, offering conservation education programs and supporting community conservation initiatives. We aspire to be a leader in landscape-level approaches to management of protected areas and a key contributor to collaborative approaches in conservation.
